What is this site for?

This site is for voter registration, candidate nomination and information leading up to the Zambia Leeds Community Elections 2025 on 13 April 2025. Regular updates will be added here for the most up-to-date information. The site will de-activate shortly after the elections.

 

Who can take part?

Any Zambian or person of Zambian heritage or close affiliation or connection can register to vote or be a candidate.  The minimum age is 18. The election committee will review and confirm all registrations. A candidate list and a voter list will be made available on this site shortly

 

Where can candidates publish their messages and manifestos?

Candidates should send their picture, short intro message (about 60 words) and a manifesto (word /pdf attachment) if they wish to  get-involved@zambia-leeds-community-elections-2025.org. There will be an opportunity also at the elections for candidates to address the voters. You will need to have registered to vote and stand before Friday 11 April 2025 at 23:59 to be considered for any positions

 

Can you assist with voter registration?

Yes, we provide voter registration management to help community members register to vote for the upcoming elections. The process is extremely simple. Just add your name and email address. If you have any issues or concerns, please email get-involved@zambia-leeds-community-elections-2025.org

 

What about election day logistics, security and integrity?

We will manage all election day logistics to ensure a seamless voting experience for the community members. Voting can be done in-person or online. We will be using the online voting platform electionbuddy for managing the ballot and vote counts. This is a very secure platform  which will help us deliver a smooth, transparent and trustworthy electoral process

 

Can I volunteer to help with the elections?

Yes, we welcome volunteers to assist with various tasks related to event coordination, voter registration, and election day logistics.

Yes, the elections are open to all eligible community members of Zambia in Leeds who have registered to vote.
